SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GM2A (ganglioside GM2 activator) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GM2A qPCR Primer Set – ganglioside GM2 activator
Also known as: GM2-AP, GM2AP, SAP-3
About this gene: GM2A encodes a small glycolipid transport protein which acts as a substrate specific co-factor for the lysosomal enzyme beta-hexosaminidase A. Beta-hexosaminidase A, together with GM2 ganglioside activator, catalyzes the degradation of the ganglioside GM2. Mutations in GM2A result in GM2-gangliosidosis type AB or the AB variant of Tay-Sachs disease.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2760; HGNC ID: HGNC:4367; UniProt: P17900; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000405.5; Chromosome location: 5q33.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
