SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GLRB (glycine receptor beta) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GLRB qPCR Primer Set – glycine receptor beta
Also known as: HKPX2
About this gene: GLRB encodes a beta subunit of the glycine receptor, which is a pentamer composed of alpha and beta subunits. The receptor acts as a neurotransmitter-gated ion channel, which produces hyperpolarization via increased chloride conductance due to the binding of glycine to the receptor. Mutations in GLRB cause startle disease, also known as hereditary hyperekplexia or congenital stiff-person syndrome, a disease characterized by muscular rigidity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2743; HGNC ID: HGNC:4329; UniProt: P48167; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000824.5; Chromosome location: 4q32.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
