SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GK (glycerol kinase, also called Glycerokinase) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GK qPCR Primer Set – glycerol kinase
Also known as: GK1, GKD
About this gene: The GK protein belongs to the FGGY kinase family. The GK protein is a key enzyme in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism. The GK gene product catalyzes the phosphorylation of glycerol by ATP, yielding ADP and glycerol-3-phosphate.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2710; HGNC ID: HGNC:4289; UniProt: P32189; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001205019.2; Chromosome location: Xp21.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
