SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GIPR (gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor, also called GIP-R) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GIPR qPCR Primer Set – gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor
Also known as: PGQTL2
About this gene: GIPR encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastric inhibitory polypeptide, which was originally identified as an activity in gut extracts that inhibited gastric acid secretion and gastrin release. Mice lacking GIPR exhibit higher blood glucose levels with impaired initial insulin response after oral glucose load. Defect in GIPR thus may contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetes.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2696; HGNC ID: HGNC:4271; UniProt: P48546; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000164.4; Chromosome location: 19q13.32
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
