SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GIP (gastric inhibitory polypeptide) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GIP qPCR Primer Set – gastric inhibitory polypeptide
About this gene: GIP encodes a incretin hormone and belongs to the glucagon superfamily. The GIP protein is important in maintaining glucose homeostasis as it is a potent stimulator of insulin secretion from pancreatic beta-cells following food ingestion and nutrient absorption. GIP stimulates insulin secretion via its G protein-coupled receptor activation of adenylyl cyclase and other signal transduction pathways.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2695; HGNC ID: HGNC:4270; UniProt: P09681; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004123.3; Chromosome location: 17q21.32
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
