Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GCSH (glycine cleavage system protein H) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human GCSH qPCR Primer Set – glycine cleavage system protein H

Also known as: GCE, MMDS7, NKH

About this gene: Degradation of glycine is brought about by the glycine cleavage system, which is composed of four mitochondrial protein components: P protein, H protein, T protein, and L protein. The GCSH protein is the H protein, which transfers the methylamine group of glycine from the P protein to the T protein. Defects in GCSH are a cause of nonketotic hyperglycinemia.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2653; HGNC ID: HGNC:4208; UniProt: P23434; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004483.5; Chromosome location: 16q23.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
