SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GCLC (glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit, also called Gamma-ECS) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GCLC qPCR Primer Set – glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit
Also known as: CNSHA7, GCL, GCS, GLCL, GLCLC
About this gene: Glutamate-cysteine ligase, also known as gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase is the first rate-limiting enzyme of glutathione synthesis. The enzyme consists of two subunits, a heavy catalytic subunit and a light regulatory subunit. This locus encodes the catalytic subunit, while the regulatory subunit is derived from a different gene located on chromosome 1p22-p21.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2729; HGNC ID: HGNC:4311; UniProt: P48506; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001498.4; Chromosome location: 6p12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
