SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GCGR (glucagon receptor, also called GL-R) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GCGR qPCR Primer Set – glucagon receptor
Also known as: GGR, GL-R, MVAH
About this gene: The GCGR protein is the glucagon receptor, a member of the secretin receptor family of class B G-protein-coupled receptors. This receptor plays a critical role in maintaining blood glucose homeostasis by mediating the effects of glucagon, including stimulation of hepatic glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. GCGR is expressed primarily in the liver and kidney but also in the heart, adrenal glands, pancreas, spleen, thymus, cerebral cortex, adipose tissue, and gastrointestinal tract.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2642; HGNC ID: HGNC:4192; UniProt: P47871; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000160.5; Chromosome location: 17q25.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
