Human GALT qPCR Primer Set – galactose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase

About this gene: Galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase catalyzes the second step of the Leloir pathway of galactose metabolism, namely the conversion of UDP-glucose + galactose-1-phosphate to glucose-1-phosphate + UDP-galactose. The absence of this enzyme leads to classic galactosemia in humans and can be fatal in the newborn period if lactose is not removed from the diet. The pathophysiology of galactosemia has not been clearly defined.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2592; HGNC ID: HGNC:4135; UniProt: P07902; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000155.4; Chromosome location: 9p13.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
