SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GALNT6 (polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 6, also called GalNAc-T6) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GALNT6 qPCR Primer Set – polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 6
Also known as: GALNAC-T6, GalNAcT6
About this gene: GALNT6 belongs to the UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase family of enzymes. GalNAc-Ts initiate mucin-type O-linked glycosylation in the Golgi apparatus by catalyzing the transfer of GalNAc to serine and threonine residues on target proteins. They are characterized by an N-terminal transmembrane domain, a stem region, a lumenal catalytic domain containing a GT1 motif and Gal/GalNAc transferase motif, and a C-terminal ricin/lectin-like domain.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11226; HGNC ID: HGNC:4128; UniProt: Q8NCL4; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_007210.4; Chromosome location: 12q13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
