SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GALC (galactosylceramidase, also called GALCERase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GALC qPCR Primer Set – galactosylceramidase
About this gene: GALC encodes a lysosomal protein which hydrolyzes the galactose ester bonds of galactosylceramide, galactosylsphingosine, lactosylceramide, and monogalactosyldiglyceride. Mutations in GALC have been linked to Krabbe disease, also known as globoid cell leukodystrophy. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2581; HGNC ID: HGNC:4115; UniProt: P54803; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000153.4; Chromosome location: 14q31.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
