SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GAA (alpha glucosidase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GAA qPCR Primer Set – alpha glucosidase
Also known as: IOPD, LOPD, LYAG
About this gene: GAA encodes lysosomal alpha-glucosidase, which is essential for the degradation of glycogen to glucose in lysosomes. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple intermediate forms and the mature form of the enzyme. Defects in GAA are the cause of glycogen storage disease II, also known as Pompe's disease, which is an autosomal recessive disorder with a broad clinical spectrum.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2548; HGNC ID: HGNC:4065; UniProt: P10253; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000152.5; Chromosome location: 17q25.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
