Human FOXC1 qPCR Primer Set – forkhead box C1
Also known as: ARA, ASGD3, FKHL7, FREAC-3, FREAC3, IGDA, IHG1, IRID1, RIEG3
About this gene: FOXC1 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of FOXC1 has not yet been determined; however, it is reported to play a role in the regulation of embryonic and ocular development. Mutations in FOXC1 cause various glaucoma phenotypes including primary congenital glaucoma, autosomal dominant iridogoniodysgenesis anomaly, and Axenfeld-Rieger anomaly.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2296; HGNC ID: HGNC:3800; UniProt: Q12948; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001453.3; Chromosome location: 6p25.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
