SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human FMR1 (fragile X messenger ribonucleoprotein 1, also called FMRP) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human FMR1 qPCR Primer Set – fragile X messenger ribonucleoprotein 1
Also known as: FMRP, FRAXA, POF, POF1
About this gene: The FMR1 protein binds RNA and is linked to polysomes. The FMR1 protein may be involved in mRNA trafficking from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. A trinucleotide repeat in the 5' UTR is normally found at 6-53 copies, but an expansion to 55-230 repeats is the cause of fragile X syndrome.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2332; HGNC ID: HGNC:3775; UniProt: Q06787; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002024.6; Chromosome location: Xq27.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
