About this gene: ALOXE3 belongs to the lipoxygenase family, which are catabolized by arachidonic acid-derived compounds. The encoded enzyme is a hydroperoxide isomerase that synthesizes a unique type of epoxy alcohol from 12R-hydroperoxyeicosatetraenoic acid. This epoxy alcohol can activate the the nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha, which is implicated in epidermal differentiation.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
