Human ALG5 qPCR Primer Set – ALG5 dolichyl-phosphate beta-glucosyltransferase
Also known as: PKD7, bA421P11.2
About this gene: ALG5 belongs to the glycosyltransferase 2 family. The ALG5 protein participates in glucosylation of the oligomannose core in N-linked glycosylation of proteins. The addition of glucose residues to the oligomannose core is necessary to ensure substrate recognition, and therefore, effectual transfer of the oligomannose core to the nascent glycoproteins.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 29880; HGNC ID: HGNC:20266; UniProt: Q9Y673; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_013338.5; Chromosome location: 13q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
