SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human FADS1 (fatty acid desaturase 1, also called D5D) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human FADS1 qPCR Primer Set – fatty acid desaturase 1
Also known as: D5D, FADS6, FADSD5, LLCDL1, TU12
About this gene: The FADS1 protein belongs to the fatty acid desaturase gene family. Desaturase enzymes regulate unsaturation of fatty acids through the introduction of double bonds between defined carbons of the fatty acyl chain. FADS family members are considered fusion products composed of an N-terminal cytochrome b5-like domain and a C-terminal multiple membrane-spanning desaturase portion, both of which are characterized by conserved histidine motifs.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3992; HGNC ID: HGNC:3574; UniProt: O60427; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_013402.7; Chromosome location: 11q12.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
