SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human EPB42 (erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2, also called P4.2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human EPB42 qPCR Primer Set – erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2
Also known as: PA, SPH5
About this gene: Erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2 is an ATP-binding protein which may regulate the association of protein 3 with ankyrin. The EPB42 gene product probably has a role in erythrocyte shape and mechanical property regulation. Mutations in the EPB42 gene are linked to recessive spherocytic elliptocytosis and recessively transmitted hereditary hemolytic anemia.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2038; HGNC ID: HGNC:3381; UniProt: P16452; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001114134.2; Chromosome location: 15q15.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
