SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ALDH6A1 (aldehyde dehydrogenase 6 family member A1, also called MMSDH) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human ALDH6A1 qPCR Primer Set – aldehyde dehydrogenase 6 family member A1
Also known as: MMSADHA, MMSDH
About this gene: ALDH6A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase protein family. The ALDH6A1 protein is a mitochondrial methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase that is involved in the valine and pyrimidine catabolic pathways. The ALDH6A1 protein catalyzes the irreversible oxidative decarboxylation of malonate and methylmalonate semialdehydes to acetyl- and propionyl-CoA. Methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase deficiency is characterized by elevated beta-alanine, 3-hydroxypropionic acid.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4329; HGNC ID: HGNC:7179; UniProt: Q02252; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005589.4; Chromosome location: 14q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
