SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human A2M (alpha-2-macroglobulin, also called Alpha-2-M) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human A2M qPCR Primer Set – alpha-2-macroglobulin
Also known as: A2MD, CPAMD5, FWP007, S863-7
About this gene: The A2M protein is a protease inhibitor and cytokine transporter. The A2M gene product uses a bait-and-trap mechanism to inhibit a broad spectrum of proteases, including trypsin, thrombin and collagenase. The A2M gene product can also inhibit inflammatory cytokines, and it thus disrupts inflammatory cascades.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2; HGNC ID: HGNC:7; UniProt: P01023; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000014.6; Chromosome location: 12p13.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
