SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ALDH4A1 (aldehyde dehydrogenase 4 family member A1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human ALDH4A1 qPCR Primer Set – aldehyde dehydrogenase 4 family member A1
Also known as: ALDH4, P5CD, P5CDh
About this gene: The ALDH4A1 protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. This enzyme is a mitochondrial matrix NAD-dependent dehydrogenase which catalyzes the second step of the proline degradation pathway, converting pyrroline-5-carboxylate to glutamate. Deficiency of this enzyme is linked to type II hyperprolinemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by accumulation of delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate and proline.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8659; HGNC ID: HGNC:406; UniProt: P30038; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003748.4; Chromosome location: 1p36.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
