SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human EIF4G2 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 2, also called p97) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human EIF4G2 qPCR Primer Set – eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 2
Also known as: AAG1, DAP5, NAT1, P97
About this gene: Translation initiation is mediated by specific recognition of the cap structure by eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4F, which is a cap binding protein complex that consists of three subunits: eIF4A. Unlike eIF4G, which supports cap-dependent and independent translation, EIF4G2 product acts as a general repressor of translation by forming translationally inactive complexes. In vitro and in vivo studies indicate that translation of this mRNA initiates exclusively at a non-AUG codon.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1982; HGNC ID: HGNC:3297; UniProt: P78344; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001418.4; Chromosome location: 11p15.4
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
