SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human EIF2AK3 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 3, also called HsPEK) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human EIF2AK3 qPCR Primer Set – eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 3
Also known as: PEK, PERK, WRS
About this gene: The EIF2AK3 protein phosphorylates the alpha subunit of eukaryotic translation-initiation factor 2, leading to its inactivation, and thus to a rapid reduction of translational initiation and repression of global protein synthesis. The EIF2AK3 protein is believed to modulate mitochondrial function. Mutations in EIF2AK3 are linked to Wolcott-Rallison syndrome.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9451; HGNC ID: HGNC:3255; UniProt: Q9NZJ5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004836.7; Chromosome location: 2p11.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
