SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human AKT2 (AKT serine/threonine kinase 2, also called RAC-PK-beta) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human AKT2 qPCR Primer Set – AKT serine/threonine kinase 2
Also known as: HIHGHH, PKBB, PKBBETA, PRKBB, RAC-BETA
About this gene: AKT2 is a putative oncogene encoding a protein belonging to a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases containing SH2-like domains, which is involved in signaling pathways. The gene serves as an oncogene in the tumorigenesis of cancer cells For example, its overexpression contributes to the malignant phenotype of a subset of human ductal pancreatic cancers. The AKT2 protein is a general protein kinase capable of phophorylating multiple known proteins, and has also been implicated in insulin signaling.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 208; HGNC ID: HGNC:392; UniProt: P31751; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001626.6; Chromosome location: 19q13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
