SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TYMP (thymidine phosphorylase, also called TP) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human TYMP qPCR Primer Set – thymidine phosphorylase
Also known as: ECGF, ECGF1, MEDPS1, MNGIE, MTDPS1, PDECGF, TP, hPD-ECGF
About this gene: TYMP encodes a angiogenic factor which promotes angiogenesis in vivo and stimulates the in vitro growth of a variety of endothelial cells. The TYMP gene product has a highly restricted target cell specificity acting only on endothelial cells. Mutations in TYMP have been linked to mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1890; HGNC ID: HGNC:3148; UniProt: P19971; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001953.5; Chromosome location: 22q13.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
