SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human DMGDH (dimethylglycine dehydrogenase, also called ME2GLYDH) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human DMGDH qPCR Primer Set – dimethylglycine dehydrogenase
Also known as: DMGDHD, ME2GLYDH
About this gene: DMGDH encodes a enzyme involved in the catabolism of choline, catalyzing the oxidative demethylation of dimethylglycine to form sarcosine. The enzyme is found as a monomer in the mitochondrial matrix, and uses flavin adenine dinucleotide and folate as cofactors. Mutation in DMGDH causes dimethylglycine dehydrogenase deficiency, characterized by a fishlike body odor, chronic muscle fatigue, and elevated levels of the muscle form of creatine kinase in serum.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 29958; HGNC ID: HGNC:24475; UniProt: Q9UI17; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_013391.3; Chromosome location: 5q14.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
