Human DGUOK qPCR Primer Set – deoxyguanosine kinase
Also known as: MTDPS3, NCPH, NCPH1, PEOB4, dGK
About this gene: In mammalian cells, the phosphorylation of purine deoxyribonucleosides is mediated predominantly by two deoxyribonucleoside kinases, cytosolic deoxycytidine kinase and mitochondrial deoxyguanosine kinase. The DGUOK protein is responsible for phosphorylation of purine deoxyribonucleosides in the mitochondrial matrix. In addition, this protein phosphorylates multiple purine deoxyribonucleoside analogs used in the treatment of lymphoproliferative disorders, and this phosphorylation is critical for the effectiveness of the analogs.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1716; HGNC ID: HGNC:2858; UniProt: Q16854; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_080916.3; Chromosome location: 2p13.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
