Human DDB1 qPCR Primer Set – damage specific DNA binding protein 1

Also known as: DDBA, UV-DDB1, WHIKERS, XAP1, XPCE, XPE, XPE-BF

About this gene: The DDB1 protein is the large subunit of the heterodimeric DNA damage-binding complex while another protein forms the small subunit. The DDB1 protein complex functions in nucleotide-excision repair and binds to DNA following UV damage. Defective activity of this complex causes the repair defect in patients with xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group E - an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by photosensitivity and early onset of carcinomas.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1642; HGNC ID: HGNC:2717; UniProt: Q16531; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001923.5; Chromosome location: 11q12.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
