Human DCTN2 qPCR Primer Set – dynactin subunit 2
Also known as: DCTN50, DYNAMITIN, HEL-S-77, RBP50
About this gene: DCTN2 encodes a 50-kD subunit of dynactin, a macromolecular complex consisting of 10-11 subunits ranging in size from 22 to 150 kD. Dynactin binds to both microtubules and cytoplasmic dynein. The DCTN2 gene product is involved in a diverse array of cellular functions, including ER-to-Golgi transport, the centripetal movement of lysosomes and endosomes, spindle formation, chromosome movement, nuclear positioning, and axonogenesis. This subunit is present in 4-5 copies per dynactin molecule.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10540; HGNC ID: HGNC:2712; UniProt: Q13561; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001261413.2; Chromosome location: 12q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
