SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human AHCY (adenosylhomocysteinase, also called AdoHcyase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human AHCY qPCR Primer Set – adenosylhomocysteinase
Also known as: SAHH, adoHcyase
About this gene: S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase belongs to the adenosylhomocysteinase family. The AHCY gene product catalyzes the reversible hydrolysis of S-adenosylhomocysteine to adenosine and L-homocysteine. Thus, it regulates the intracellular S-adenosylhomocysteine concentration thought to be important for transmethylation reactions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 191; HGNC ID: HGNC:343; UniProt: P23526; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000687.4; Chromosome location: 20q11.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
