SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CYP2E1 (cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily E member 1, also called CYPIIE1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CYP2E1 qPCR Primer Set – cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily E member 1
Also known as: CPE1, CYP2E, P450-J, P450C2E
About this gene: CYP2E1 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The CYP2E1 protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is induced by ethanol, the diabetic state, and starvation.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1571; HGNC ID: HGNC:2631; UniProt: P05181; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000773.4; Chromosome location: 10q26.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
