SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CYP2C8 (cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily C member 8, also called CYPIIC8) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CYP2C8 qPCR Primer Set – cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily C member 8
Also known as: CPC8, CYP2C8DM, CYPIIC8, MP-12/MP-20
About this gene: CYP2C8 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The CYP2C8 protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and its expression is induced by phenobarbital.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1558; HGNC ID: HGNC:2622; UniProt: P10632; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000770.3; Chromosome location: 10q23.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
