SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CYP11A1 (cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1, also called CYPXIA1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CYP11A1 qPCR Primer Set – cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1
Also known as: CYP11A, CYPXIA1, P450SCC
About this gene: CYP11A1 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The CYP11A1 protein localizes to the mitochondrial inner membrane and catalyzes the conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone, the first and rate-limiting step in the synthesis of the steroid hormones.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1583; HGNC ID: HGNC:2590; UniProt: P05108; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000781.3; Chromosome location: 15q24.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
