SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CTSO (cathepsin O) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CTSO qPCR Primer Set – cathepsin O
Also known as: CTSO1
About this gene: The protein encoded by the gene is a cysteine proteinase and a member of the papain superfamily. This proteolytic enzyme is involved in cellular protein degradation and turnover. The recombinant form of this enzyme was shown to degrade synthetic peptides typically used as substrates for cysteine proteinases and its proteolytic activity was abolished by an inhibitor of cyteine proteinase.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1519; HGNC ID: HGNC:2542; UniProt: P43234; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001334.3; Chromosome location: 4q32.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
