SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CTSK (cathepsin K) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CTSK qPCR Primer Set – cathepsin K
Also known as: CTS02, CTSO, CTSO1, CTSO2, PKND, PYCD
About this gene: The CTSK protein is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase involved in bone remodeling and resorption. This protein, which belongs to the peptidase C1 protein family, is predominantly expressed in osteoclasts. However, the CTSK protein is also expressed in a significant fraction of human breast cancers, where it could contribute to tumor invasiveness.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1513; HGNC ID: HGNC:2536; UniProt: P43235; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000396.4; Chromosome location: 1q21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
