SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human VCAN (versican, also called GHAP) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human VCAN qPCR Primer Set – versican
Also known as: CSPG2, ERVR, GHAP, PG-M, WGN, WGN1
About this gene: VCAN belongs to the aggrecan/versican proteoglycan family. The protein encoded is a large chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan and is a major component of the extracellular matrix. The VCAN protein is involved in cell adhesion, proliferation, proliferation, migration and angiogenesis and plays a central role in tissue morphogenesis and maintenance.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1462; HGNC ID: HGNC:2464; UniProt: P13611; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004385.5; Chromosome location: 5q14.2-q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
