SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human AFM (afamin, also called Alpha-Alb) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human AFM qPCR Primer Set – afamin
Also known as: ALB2, ALBA, ALF
About this gene: AFM belongs to the albumin gene family, which is comprised of four genes that localize to chromosome 4 in a tandem arrangement. These four genes encode structurally-related serum transport proteins that are known to be evolutionarily related. The AFM protein is regulated developmentally, expressed in the liver and secreted into the bloodstream.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 173; HGNC ID: HGNC:316; UniProt: P43652; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001133.2; Chromosome location: 4q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
