Human COX6B1 qPCR Primer Set – cytochrome c oxidase subunit 6B1
Also known as: COX6B, COXG, COXVIb1, MC4DN7
About this gene: Cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. The COX6B1 gene product is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may be involved in the regulation and assembly of the complex.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1340; HGNC ID: HGNC:2280; UniProt: P14854; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001863.5; Chromosome location: 19q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
