SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CKAP5 (cytoskeleton associated protein 5, also called Ch-TOG) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CKAP5 qPCR Primer Set – cytoskeleton associated protein 5
Also known as: CHTOG, MSPS, TOG, TOGp, ch-TOG
About this gene: CKAP5 encodes a cytoskeleton-associated protein which belongs to the TOG/XMAP215 family. The N-terminal half of this protein contains a microtubule-binding domain and the C-terminal half contains a KXGS motif for binding tubulin dimers. The CKAP5 protein has two distinct roles in spindle formation; it protects kinetochore microtubules from depolymerization and plays an essential role in centrosomal microtubule assembly.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9793; HGNC ID: HGNC:28959; UniProt: Q14008; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001008938.4; Chromosome location: 11p11.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
