SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CHST6 (carbohydrate sulfotransferase 6, also called hCGn6ST) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CHST6 qPCR Primer Set – carbohydrate sulfotransferase 6
Also known as: C-GlcNAc6ST, GST4-beta, MCDC1, glcNAc6ST-5, gn6st-5, hCGn6ST
About this gene: The CHST6 protein is an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of a sulfate group to the GlcNAc residues of keratan. Keratan sulfate helps maintain corneal transparency. Defects in CHST6 are a cause of macular corneal dystrophy.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4166; HGNC ID: HGNC:6938; UniProt: Q9GZX3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_021615.5; Chromosome location: 16q23.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
