SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CHST12 (carbohydrate sulfotransferase 12, also called C4ST2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CHST12 qPCR Primer Set – carbohydrate sulfotransferase 12
Also known as: C4S-2, C4ST-2, C4ST2
About this gene: The CHST12 protein belongs to the sulfotransferase 2 family. The CHST12 gene product is localized to the golgi membrane, and catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to position 4 of the N-acetylgalactosamine residue of chondroitin and desulfated dermatan sulfate. Chondroitin sulfate constitutes the predominant proteoglycan present in cartilage, and is distributed on the surfaces of many cells and extracellular matrices.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55501; HGNC ID: HGNC:17423; UniProt: Q9NRB3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018641.5; Chromosome location: 7p22.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
