SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CH25H (cholesterol 25-hydroxylase, also called h25OH) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human CH25H qPCR Primer Set – cholesterol 25-hydroxylase
Also known as: C25H
About this gene: This is an intronless gene that is involved in cholesterol and lipid metabolism. The CH25H protein is a membrane protein and contains clusters of histidine residues essential for catalytic activity. Unlike most other sterol hydroxylases, this enzyme belongs to a small family of enzymes that utilize diiron cofactors to catalyze the hydroxylation of hydrophobic substrates.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9023; HGNC ID: HGNC:1907; UniProt: O95992; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003956.4; Chromosome location: 10q23.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
