SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CGA (glycoprotein hormones, alpha polypeptide, also called CG-alpha) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CGA qPCR Primer Set – glycoprotein hormones, alpha polypeptide
Also known as: CG-ALPHA, FSHA, GPA1, GPHA1, GPHa, HCG, LHA, TSHA
About this gene: The four human glycoprotein hormones chorionic gonadotropin, luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, and thyroid stimulating hormone are dimers consisting of alpha and beta subunits that are associated noncovalently. The alpha subunits of these hormones are identical, however, their beta chains are unique and confer biological specificity. The CGA protein is the alpha subunit and belongs to the glycoprotein hormones alpha chain family.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1081; HGNC ID: HGNC:1885; UniProt: P01215; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000735.4; Chromosome location: 6q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
