Human CDKN2B qPCR Primer Set – cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2B

Also known as: CDK4I, INK4B, MTS2, P15, TP15, p15INK4b

About this gene: CDKN2B lies adjacent to the tumor suppressor gene CDKN2A in a region that is frequently mutated and deleted in a wide variety of tumors. CDKN2B encodes a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, which forms a complex with CDK4 or CDK6, and prevents the activation of the CDK kinases, thus the CDKN2B protein acts as a cell growth regulator that controls cell cycle G1 progression. The expression of CDKN2B was found to be dramatically induced by TGF beta, which suggested its role in the TGF beta induced growth inhibition.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1030; HGNC ID: HGNC:1788; UniProt: P42772; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004936.4; Chromosome location: 9p21.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
