Human CDKN2A qPCR Primer Set – cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2A

Also known as: ARF, CAI2, CDK4I, CDKN2, CMM2, INK4, INK4A, MLM, MTS-1, MTS1, P14, P14ARF

About this gene: CDKN2A generates multiple transcript variants which differ in their first exons. The remaining transcript includes an alternate first exon located 20 Kb upstream of the remainder of the gene. This ARF product acts as a stabilizer of the tumor suppressor protein p53 as it can interact with, and sequester, the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MDM2, a protein responsible for the degradation of p53.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 1029; HGNC ID: HGNC:1787; UniProt: P42771; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000077.5; Chromosome location: 9p21.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
