SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PLIN2 (perilipin 2, also called ADRP) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human PLIN2 qPCR Primer Set – perilipin 2
Also known as: ADFP, ADRP
About this gene: The PLIN2 protein belongs to the perilipin family, members of which coat intracellular lipid storage droplets. The PLIN2 protein is linked to the lipid globule surface membrane material, and maybe involved in development and maintenance of adipose tissue. However, it is not restricted to adipocytes as previously thought, but is found in a wide range of cultured cell lines, including fibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells, and tissues, such as lactating mammary gland, adrenal cortex.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 123; HGNC ID: HGNC:248; UniProt: Q99541; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001122.4; Chromosome location: 9p22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
