Also known as: B7-2, B7.2, B70, BU63, CD28LG2, CD86 v6, FUN-1, LAB72
About this gene: CD86 encodes a type I membrane protein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The CD86 protein is expressed by antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteins at the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein with CD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of the T-cell.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 942; HGNC ID: HGNC:1705; UniProt: P42081; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_175862.5; Chromosome location: 3q13.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
