SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CBX5 (chromobox 5) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CBX5 qPCR Primer Set – chromobox 5
Also known as: HEL25, HP1, HP1A, HP1alpha
About this gene: CBX5 encodes a highly conserved nonhistone protein, which belongs to the heterochromatin protein family. The protein is enriched in the heterochromatin and linked to centromeres. The protein has a single N-terminal chromodomain which can bind to histone proteins via methylated lysine residues, and a C-terminal chromo shadow-domain which is responsible for the homodimerization and interaction with a number of chromatin-associated nonhistone proteins.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 23468; HGNC ID: HGNC:1555; UniProt: P45973; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012117.3; Chromosome location: 12q13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
