SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human CAT (catalase) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human CAT qPCR Primer Set – catalase
About this gene: CAT encodes catalase, a key antioxidant enzyme in the bodies defense against oxidative stress. Catalase is a heme enzyme that is present in the peroxisome of nearly all aerobic cells. Catalase converts the reactive oxygen species hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen and thereby mitigates the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 847; HGNC ID: HGNC:1516; UniProt: P04040; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001752.4; Chromosome location: 11p13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
