Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human AASS (aminoadipate-semialdehyde synthase, also called LKR/SDH) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human AASS qPCR Primer Set – aminoadipate-semialdehyde synthase

Also known as: LKR/SDH, LKRSDH, LORSDH

About this gene: AASS encodes a bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the first two steps in the mammalian lysine degradation pathway. The N-terminal and the C-terminal portions of this enzyme contain lysine-ketoglutarate reductase and saccharopine dehydrogenase activity, respectively, resulting in the conversion of lysine to alpha-aminoadipic semialdehyde. Mutations in AASS are linked to familial hyperlysinemia.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10157; HGNC ID: HGNC:17366; UniProt: Q9UDR5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005763.4; Chromosome location: 7q31.32

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
